Course etiquette

The friendly rules.

No thick rulebook here — just the everyday habits that keep the course in great shape and every round enjoyable. If you're new to golf, welcome. If you're a regular, thanks for setting the tone.

Repair your divots

Replace turf you take out of the fairway, or fill it with sand from the dispensers by the tees.

Fix your pitchmarks

On the greens, always fix your ball mark (and one more if you spot it). Takes 10 seconds and saves the green for weeks.

Maximum 4 in a group

Keep groups to four players so play flows for everyone behind you.

Shout 'FORE!'

If your ball is heading anywhere near another player, shout loud and clear. No shame in it — it's the safe thing to do.

Let faster groups play through

If the group behind is waiting on every shot, wave them through on the next tee. Everyone has more fun.

Be respectful

Quiet while others are hitting, no phones on the tee, and a friendly word for anyone new to the game.

Take your rubbish

Bin your tees, wrappers and bottles at the clubhouse. The wildlife (and the swans!) thank you.

Leave dogs at home

We love your furry friends, but dogs aren't allowed on the course — it's safer for them, and it prevents damage and distraction while everyone is playing.

Play well. Play kind. Come back soon.

If something's not right on the course — a broken bench, a boggy patch, missing signage — use the Report page in the app and we'll be on it.
